The POWER CO₂ Days! | September 7–9, 2026 | Lyon, France

Day 3: Hybrid Pathways

Converting CO₂ into chemicals and fuels represents a significant challenge in sustainable energy research. We are thrilled to welcome Bertrand Reuillard as a Keynote Speaker to discuss molecular (bio)hydrid materials for CO₂ conversion!

Over the past ten years, combining molecular centers and enzymes at the surface of electrode materials has proven to be a powerful approach to developing efficient CO₂ conversion devices.

In his Keynote, Bertrand will explain how these (bio)hydrid electrode assemblies present an opportunity to complex and value-added CO₂-reduction products. Moreover, he will discuss the recent development of “cascade” or “tandem” systems with strategic combination of several catalytic sites, leading to improved selectivity in the overall  electrocatalytic processes towards specific desired products.

This presentation will highlight how interdisciplinary approaches —where the spatial organization of the catalyst site is paramount— should allow the development of new, efficient electrocatalytic pathways for CO₂ conversion.

We look forward to this session on biohybrid catalysis!
